Chuck Golfman, MBA, CMC, ICD.D / President and Partner of HIE

Chuck provides the day-to-day management and leadership of HIE. He has a strong background in general management and administration with extensive experience in banking, private enterprise and non-profit organizations. Chuck founded and operated one manufacturing business in 1972 which was sold in 2004 and a second manufacturing business which was sold in 1999. He has served as a mentor and personal coach to many early stage companies and has been involved at senior levels in a variety of community based organizations.

Ken has an extensive career as an advisor to CEO's, CFO's, Boards and government. He is very experienced in determining the feasibility, risks and alternatives for proposed business initiatives before significant commitments have been made. He is also adept at developing and managing complex business projects involving multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders to ensure that budget and time constraints are met. David Wynne, MBA, CHRP, IPMA-CP - Principal  

David is a human resource generalist with a background in business and accounting.  He has experience in Manitoba’s crown corporation insurance, the retail and wholesale food industry and the banking sector.  While specializing in computer applications for HR and the business operations, he has experience in negotiations, labour relations, recruitment, training and as a consultant to management for staffing solutions.  He has participated in the merger of government departments, mentored rising stars in the operations area, authored plans for new initiatives and prepared the strategic direction for HR.  Active in the community, he is the chairman of the board for a large growing church, serves on the advisory committee for the HR program of a local college and is a founding member of a new HR association aimed at Aboriginals.  Viewed by colleges as a person of high integrity and capability he has continued to learn and grow while helping those around him succeed.

Hernan Popper, M.B.A.- Principal

Hernan has 24 years of  multinational experience in Innovation, Strategic Marketing and Business Development and has held senior marketing and business development positions in Argentina, USA and Canada with responsibility for large product portfolios in the telecommunications industry. He has successfully led several multijurisdictional projects.

Hernan was formally introduced to Innovation through his involvement as the Director of Innovation and New Business Development for the Western Canada Lottery Corporation. He represented WCLC and its member provinces at the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation's Business Innovation Team, for the development of national products and services targeting the digital generation, and actively participated in international projects.
